Semi-realistic versions of Mew and Ditto.
Mew is pretty straightforward; a pink floating cat.
As for Ditto, I just imagined it to be a sentient pink, vaguely transluscent blob with 2 beady little eyes.

I always considered Ditto to be the primordial goo that comes from Mew when it makes pokemon. The idea of Mew is that all pokemon come from it right? And Ditto can become any pokemon and even mate with any pokemon. So I like to think that Ditto was formed when Mew creates pokemon.
